Zach Gardner and Josh Shifman met at Modern Treasury, where they developed cash tracking tools for fast-paced, money-moving companies. There, they saw the need for modern and flexible cash tracking software for companies with high-speed payments. No where was this more apparent than in logistics, whose speed of operations, complex payments flows, and specialized data systems, created unusual difficulties.

Billions of dollars move each year across the supply chain. However, despite this volume, many logistics companies today lack tools to effectively track their payments at the speed of their operations. This creates inefficiencies. It slows back-office operations, and creates data siloes and visibility gaps. With this problem in mind, Zach and Josh founded Trellis Finance.
